  The Ring
Today marks our one month anniversary as a married couple. I know one month isn’t long, but we’re doing better than Brittany Spears first marriage. On account of this I thought I’d write a little about some thoughts I had this weekend.

We went into major clean up mode this weekend and we decided to clean the dogs too, they smelled atrocious. I looked down at my left hand and thought I should take off my wedding ring. But, after another moment’s thought I decided not to. I didn’t want to mess it up, but if the symbol of our marriage can’t handle a little dirty work then why have it. So, it stayed on through the dog bathing, and survived just fine. I look forward to many more dog baths and dirty jobs with my husband – and I look forward to our marriage and our love for each other surviving just fine.

That's a good way to think about it. :-) The only time I take my wedding ring off is when I put conditioner in my hair, because it pulls at it. Otherwise I always have it on. I have to take my engagement ring off to do lots of things, but that's just because it is an opal.

You just keeping thinking like that, and you'll be doing just fine. :-D

Hey babe,

mine has only come off a couple of times.....fingers swelling, and when I thought that I had lost the dimond chips out of it and it went to mom's house to get cleaned. other than that is had been on my finger ever since you put it there.

Love ya

The only times my ring comes off are :

1) when I'm sleeping
2) Handling raw meat (just seems wrong)

I wear it at all other times. I just feel off balance without it.

Gratz on a month, guys! May many moons follow! (but not people shooting moons, unless you are in to that sort of thing!)
